I am running on my Wii Homebrew for about 9 months. The best advice I can give you is a SDHC SD card is not real. SDHC cards have compatibility issues with the Wii. Personally, I have 2GB San Disk card. I also recommend no larger than 2 GB card will again because of compatibility issues. 2GB should be more than enough space for any homebrew you want. Most applications are about 100 MB or less. As a reader of the PC makes no difference. But you want to make sure that the format of an SD card again to get it the first time Simply right click on your PC and click format. This will ensure that you are completely empty.
